Project Goal: Cernadas will work with Bolivian radio station Radio Fides Santa Cruz to create a digital platform for a network of rural radio journalists allowing radio stations to share programming about critical issues that affect all of their audiences, vastly improving the flow of information to underserved communities.

Biography: Celia Cernadas, who has an 18-year career as a professional journalist, recently was awarded a master's degree in international relations from the Barcelona Institute of International Relations.  For most of the past four years, she has headed the international department of Catalunya Radio, the public radio station network of Catalonia, Spain. Prior to that, she was a reporter at the station for seven years.  From 2000-2007, the station deployed Cernadas to report in Iraq, Israel, Jordan, kenya, Mexico, Russia, Somalia, and Syria, and the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.  Cernadas also has been a print reporter, working for La Vanguardia newspaper and Els 4 Cantons/El Punt.
